Suntapes is musician, composer and producer Tomas Johan Kristian Vanderplaetse. His compositions are atmospheric soundtracks merging neo-classic, minimal, dark electronics and ethnic music.

Tomas produces soundtracks for live performances, films and immersive experiences. He’s on a constant quest to find the right musical atmosphere for each visual story. In a more poetic way one could say that he sees sound. As a classically schooled pianist Tomas Johan Kristian developed his own neo-classic style on the grand piano. While traveling he gathered and learned to play a lot of unique ethnic instruments. More special sauce is added in his music through experimentation with analog synthesizers, effects on acoustic instruments and tape recording. As much as recording in the studio Suntapes loves to perform live.

Currently (October 2024) Suntapes can be booked for 3 performances:

Tomas Johan Kristian: solo neo-classical piano set with his own compositions. Welcome at the album release on November 9th.
Extricate: A hand balancing dance performance with live music & foley performance that offers the audience a soothing universe. Welcome at the première on December 15th.
Regenerative Flows: An immersive and complete relaxing audiovisual performance as full frame realistic visual journey with a live soundscape music performance.
