PHANTOM (Tomas Johan Kristian)

In between many releases as Suntapes, the time has come for the release of very personal piano solo compositions as Tomas Johan Kristian, my birth name. Some of these pieces have been composed more than 20 years ago. 11 piano solo tracks are recorded in 2023 and released in 2024 with Black Rainbow Group.

On September 27th 2024 the full album is released and available on all streaming platforms. The LP will be available by November 9th: the date of the Album release show in theater Tinnenpot in Ghent.

Laguna

After releasing a few double singles in the autum, the new album inspired by the cover image of Sofie Vosk is out! The first 2 tracks Golden Pattern & Soto focus (release September 8th) on the warm sound of Kalimba (Thumb piano). Other quirky instruments that appear on the album are Chinese Guzheng, Dulcimer, Thai pin and of course piano and analogue synths. Check out the latest release.

Slow Wave

A refreshing compositional ambient full album exploring tranquillity, acoustic warm sound, hypnotic sensation and connection with nature. 9 carefully crafted tracks that make you travel in the mind. Indian Summer Soul

The album catches summertime melancholy in 8 neoclassical piano pieces with gloomy arrangements. All tracks are recorded on a 1881 Bechstein Grand piano with close miking techniques. The arrangements are mainly played on Mellotron and Analogue synths.

Sonic Landscapes

Dark and slow evolving ambient drone tracks. The compositions are recorded in one take with several analogue synthesizers and piano manipulation. The album has a psychedelic, meditative, minimal and filmic feel to it.

Inspired by the quirky character of landscapes in Japanese cities and countryside. Sounds that are yet to be incorporated by filmmakers. Experiments with sounds created on vintage and new analogue synthesizers. The grand piano is the 'fil rouge' in a lot of tracks: close miked and with effects.

Hunting for hills is an atmospheric musical trip around the world. It's the culmination of fifteen years of experiments and long inspiring travels. UNIQUE Asian and Middle-eastern instruments give these compositions a unique touch.
