Suntapes is Tomas Vanderplaetse: musician / composer / producer. His compositions are atmospheric soundtracks merging neo-classic, minimal, electronics and ethnic music.

Tomas produces soundtracks for films, documentaries, live performances and immersive experiences. It's all about finding the right musical atmosphere for each visual story. In a more poetic way one could say that he sees sound. As a classically schooled pianist Tomas developed his own neo-classic style on the grand piano throughout the years. While traveling he gathered and learned to play a lot of ethnic instruments. Another important element in his music is the use of analog synthesizers.

As much as recording in the studio Suntapes loves to perform live: solo piano, with electronics or in a complete live looping set-up. Tomas is also the keyboard player for Belgian rock legend Arno.
